Your payment sits with us, not with the seller, right up until you confirm. That's what makes a refund possible at all — there's nothing to claw back, because nothing has left yet.
WHEN A REFUND APPLIES
✅When you get a refund
The test is simple: did you get what the listing said you'd get?
- The order was never delivered, or the seller stopped responding.
- What arrived doesn't match the listing — a different item, a different rank, an account that isn't as described.
- The account or code doesn't work, or it stops working because it wasn't the seller's to sell.
- You were charged twice for the same thing.
In every one of these, open a dispute rather than confirming the order. Confirming is what releases the money.
WHEN IT DOESN'T
⛔When you don't
We'd rather be plain about this than let you find out after waiting.
- You changed your mind, or bought the wrong thing by accident, and the item was delivered exactly as described.
- You broke the account yourself after receiving it — including losing it because you didn't change the password.
- The item was delivered as described and you simply didn't like it.
- The dispute window has closed. It runs for 7 days after the order completes.
- You arranged the deal off-platform. If the money never went through MBOOSTED, there is no escrow behind it and nothing we can reverse.
THE PROCESS
⚖️How a dispute actually runs
Four steps, and a person at the end of them.
1
You open a dispute — within 7 days of completion
From the order page. You don't need the seller's agreement, and you don't need to have refused the order first. Say what went wrong and attach whatever proof you have.
2
The money freezes immediately
The moment the dispute opens, the funds for that order are frozen. This overrides any hold period that had already run down — a seller cannot withdraw their way out of a dispute.
3
Both sides put their case
You've said yours; the seller answers with theirs and attaches their own evidence. You can both see the whole thread — nothing is decided on something you never got to see.
4
A person decides
Someone on our team reads both sides and rules one of three ways: release to the seller, refund you in full, or split it where both sides have a point. It is a human decision, not a score.
The money stays frozen until that decision is made.
HOW THE MONEY MOVES
💸What a refund actually does
Three consequences worth knowing before you ask for one — or before you sell.
- The commission comes back in full. We don't keep a cut of an order that was refunded — not our side of it, and not the buyer-side fee.
- A partial refund recalculates the commission against the smaller amount, rather than leaving the original charge standing.
- A refund reaches you as a manual transfer to your mobile wallet — a person sends it, so it is never instant. You'll be asked where to send it if we don't already have a destination for you.
FOR EXAMPLE
An order of 1,000 EGP refunded in full returns the whole 1,100 EGP the buyer paid, fee included. MBOOSTED keeps nothing.
IF YOU'RE THE SELLER
📉What a refund means for a seller
Being on the other side of one is survivable, and nobody comes after you.
- If the earnings were still held in your wallet, the refund simply takes them back and nothing else happens.
- If you had already withdrawn them, the money is gone from our side, so reversing it leaves your balance negative. That is a shortfall, not a debt we chase you for.
- Your next sales pay the shortfall down first, and withdrawals start again once the balance is back above zero.
- A dispute decided in your favour releases the money to you exactly as a normal sale would.
This is the reason earnings are held for a short period before they become available: it means most refunds never reach this situation at all.
